I’m Merce, the founder and interior designer behind M|W Interiors — a Cairns-based studio specialising in thoughtful renovations, new builds and full-service interior design.

My style is influenced by relaxed coastal living, my Spanish heritage and the beautiful tropics of Far North Queensland. I’m drawn to interiors that feel timeless, warm and considered — spaces that balance modern simplicity with traditional character and a strong sense of home.

Before establishing M|W Interiors, my earlier professional background as a financial advisor shaped the way I work today: organised, detail-focused and deeply considered. I believe the best interiors begin long before the finishes are selected. They start with strong planning, clear decisions and a process that helps every element feel connected.
